Getting Started with Prerak

Welcome to Prerak — your AI-native CRM. This guide walks you through your first setup.

Step 1: Create Your Account

1. Go to your Prerak URL (provided by your admin, or sign up at prerak.io)
2. Click Sign Up and enter your email and password
3. Check your email for a verification link and click it
4. You're in!

Already have an account? Skip to Step 2.

Step 2: Set Up Your Workspace

When you first log in, you'll be prompted to set up your workspace:

1. Workspace name — enter your company or team name
2. Time zone — select your local timezone (used for scheduled emails and sequences)
3. Invite teammates — enter email addresses to invite your team (optional, do it later in Settings)

Click Create Workspace when done.

Step 3: Connect Your Email

Connecting email lets you send from Prerak and receive replies in your inbox.

1. Go to Settings → Channels → Email
2. Click Connect Gmail (or Connect Outlook, or enter SMTP details)
3. Follow the OAuth prompts to grant access
4. Your email is now connected — replies from contacts will appear in your Inbox

Step 4: Connect Your AI (Optional but Recommended)

Prerak works with ChatGPT and Claude Desktop, letting you manage your CRM through conversation.

ChatGPT:

1. Go to ChatGPT and open the GPT store
2. Search for Prerak and click Add
3. Enter your Prerak API key (found in Settings → API Keys)

Claude Desktop:

1. Open Claude Desktop → Settings → MCP Servers
2. Add a new server:

3. Restart Claude Desktop

Once connected, try: "Show me my top 10 contacts by deal value"

Step 5: Import Your Contacts

Already have contacts in a spreadsheet or another CRM?

1. Go to CRM → Contacts → Import
2. Download the CSV template
3. Fill in your contacts (email is required; all other fields are optional)
4. Upload the CSV
5. Map columns to Prerak fields
6. Click Import — contacts appear within a minute
